Instrumentation2013, 9 accelerometers on 3 levels. 3 accelerometers at a reference free-field site.

Vertical Load Carrying SystemConcrete slab supported by concrete pan joist and girders at 1st and 2nd Floor levels, and concrete fill over steel deck supported by tapered steel girders at roof. Each level is supported by concrete walls and columns.
Lateral Force Resisting SystemReinforced concrete shear walls at perimeter. Retrofit included addition of a concrete shear wall at basement level and strengthening of roof diaphragm with steel tubular trusses.
Foundation TypeContinuous concrete footings at walls, and spread footings at interior columns.
RemarksThe voluntary seismic improvement (VSI) was designed in accordance with the 2010 California Building Code. Funding for instrumentation was provided by the owner as required by OSHPD. CSMIP provided assistance in instrumentation.
