Design Date1971, 2011 (Retrofit)
Instrumentation2018, 6 accelerometers on 3 levels plus 3 accelerometers at a reference free-field.

Vertical Load Carrying SystemConcrete over metal deck supported by steel beams and girders with precast concrete columns at the perimeter and steel columns at the interior.
Lateral Force Resisting SystemSteel X-braces at the perimeter in both directions. Retrofit (2017): Addition of shear transfer plates and drag members at roof diaphragm, and strengthening of existing braced frames.
Foundation TypeContinuous concrete footings at perimeter, and concrete spread footings at interior columns. Retrofit (2017): Widening of continuous concrete footing at braced frame locations.
RemarksThe retrofit (voluntary seismic improvement) was designed in accordance with the 2010 California Building Code. Funding for instrumentation was provided by the owner as required by OSHPD. CSMIP provided assistance in instrumentation.
