Instrumentation2017, 12 accelerometers on 4 levels plus 3 accelerometers at a reference free-field.

Vertical Load Carrying SystemCast-in-place concrete slab/joist system supported by concrete beams, columns and walls.
Lateral Force Resisting SystemReinforced concrete shear walls in transverse direction. Concrete frames above the Ground Floor and concrete shear walls below in the longitudinal direction. The voluntary seismic improvement was intended to mitigate the deficiencies of vertical discontinuity by adding new concrete shear walls and by strengthening selected existing concrete columns with FRP wraps.
Foundation TypeConcrete pile caps with groups of 20-inch diameter reinforced concrete piles (40 feet long) . Pile caps are interconnected with concrete grade beams.
RemarksThe voluntary seismic improvement (VSI) was designed in accordance with the 2010 California Building Code. Funding for instrumentation was provided by the owner as required by OSHPD. CSMIP provided assistance in instrumentation.
