RemarksThis bridge is California\'s first long-span cable-stayed bridge, and one of the tallest bridges of its kind in the United States. This bridge replaces the old Gerald Desmond Bridge. It is instrumented under the interagency agreement between Caltrans and Dept. of Conservation.
