Vertical Load Carrying SystemPost-tensioned reinforced concrete flat slab supported by concrete columns and concrete shear walls
Lateral Force Resisting SystemThree reinforced concrete core walls: central core around the elevators and two cores around exit stairs. Also, three concrete shear walls in the EW direction up to Level 21. Other short walls or columns are connected to the main system with post-tensioned concrete flat slabs.
Foundation TypeReinforced concrete mat foundation (4' - 6.5' in thickness) under the tower. Concrete spread and strip footings under the podium, east of the tower.
RemarksStructural design was based on the 2011 Los Angeles Building Code and 2010 California Building Code. Nonlinear time-history analysis was performed. The instrumentation was required by the LADBS Information Bulletin P/BC 2008-123 and paid by the owner. CSMIP provided technical specifications and assistance.
