Instrumentation	1971, 12 accelerometers on four levels of building.

 

Vertical Load Carrying System	Lightweight concrete slab over metal decking floor without shear studs supported by steel beams and columns.
Lateral Force Resisting System	Perimeter welded steel moment frames above the second floor, and massive reinforced concrete piers below the second floor.
Foundation Type	Reinforced concrete spread footings with strip footings under the basement walls
Remarks	The building was initially instrumented in 1971 according to the UBC recommendations (triaxial accelerometers at there levels: the basement, sixth, and 12th floors).
